Project Health and Safety Services is a team of highly experienced Health and Safety Consultants, working closely with clients to understand what they need to do to assess and control risks in the workplace and comply with current health, safety and environmental law. We work with a wide range of clients across all sectors, including public sector organisations across the UK and the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS). Our team are all able to demonstrate their experience, skills and expertise through individual professional membership of leading bodies including IOSH and OSHCR

We offer a wide range of health and safety consultancy and advisory services, including site and workplace inspections, cultural, behavioural and project support. We help our clients to improve workplace health and safety, and develop a positive safety culture, guiding you at every step of your health and safety journey.
Services we offer include:

-    Health and Safety Consultancy Services:

• PHSS provides bespoke monthly consultancy retainer agreements and ad-hoc consultancy services, tailored to your business requirements. This allows you to name PHSS as your ‘Competent Health and Safety Advisor’, keeping you on the right side of the law. Using PHSS for your Health and Safety advice assists and guides your team on the road to compliance.

-    Health and Safety Project Support:

• PHSS will support you throughout the entire life cycle of your project from conception to handover, ensuring compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and company procedural requirements.

-    GAP Analyses:

• A member of our experienced advisor team will spend the day at your site or premises, reviewing your Health, Safety and Environmental Management System and your practices. We provide a detailed report and Action Plan, highlighting what you are doing well and potential areas for improvement.

-    Site and Workplace Inspections:

• PHSS provides health, safety and environmental compliance inspections to all industries, working with on-site managers, supervisors and workers to ensure compliance with legislative and company procedural requirements to keep your teams healthy and safe.

-    Accident and Incident Investigations:

• PHSS conducts full investigations into any incidents that occur in your workplace, providing a detailed report with root-cause analysis and actions to prevent recurrence. Where necessary, we will liaise directly with the Health and Safety Executive on your behalf.

-    Health and Safety Management Systems:

• PHSS will work with you to develop a comprehensive Health, Safety and Environmental Management System, bespoke to your business operations. This will include all the policies, procedures and documents to keep your teams healthy and safe at work.

-    CDM Support:

• Construction Design and Management (2015) duties can be onerous, challenging and time consuming. PHSS can support you throughout the project journey – from inception to completion. We can offer support to clients, designers and contractors.

-    Interim Safety Department:

• We know how important it is to you to have a fully functioning safety department. PHSS can provide interim safety support to help bridge the gap while you transition to bringing your H&S in-house, or at times when you require flexible, cost-effective support at short notice.

-    Cultural and Behavioural Programmes:

• PHSS offers a full scope Behavioural Based Safety (BBS) service. Our team have worked with every size of company from SME to multinationals; facilitated improvements from operative to board level; and delivered our services across the globe. Our service is delivered by professionals with careers in operational business environments before specialising in BBS. This gives them the ability to understand an end user view of any BBS programme.
