One in three NHS patients exposed to 'dirty air' while visiting GP
Air pollution data monitoring levels of particulate matter (PM2.5) outside GP practices in the UK show nearly one in three NHS patients are attending GP surgeries where the levels of pollution breach limits set by the World Health Organisation.

The Director General for Local Government and Public Services at the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government will leave the post after being appointed as the next Chief Executive of HM Prison and Probation Service.

Home Office outlines plan to tackle illegal traveller sites
Draft measures aimed at making it easier for officers to intervene and remove travellers from land they should not be on have been announced by the Home Secretary Sajid Javid.
The plans follow an initial consultation to look at how to strengthen the response from police and local authorities.
The Home Secretary will also consider making it a criminal offence to set up such camps. It is currently defined in law as trespassing, a civil matter.
