AM Support Services awarded certification to ISO 14001

AM Support Services has been awarded certification to ISO 14001 by BSI for environmental management.

Certification has enabled AM Support Services to achieve its corporate objectives of reducing waste, energy usage and carbon emissions and only 14 per cent of its waste goes to landfill, with this looking to be reduced even further.

AM Support Services is now working with BSI towards BS OHSAS 18001:2007, the management system standard for health and safety.

Once gained, it will be one of a select group of companies across the North West to hold three BSI certifications – ISO 9001:2008 (quality management), ISO 14001:2004 (environmental management) and BS OHSAS 18001:2007 (health and safety management).

Adrian Cresswell, managing director of AM Support Services said: "The impact of the management system has been swift and we’re already seeing some real benefits as we go about our daily business, including a reduction in costs that we can pass on to our customers."
