Three of the new members have been elected for the first time, while the other is returning to the Council after a period of absence. The list of new members includes:
Angela Brown, an independent consultant and member of the Local Authority Accounting Panel and the CIPFA/LASAAC (Local Authority Scotland Accounts Advisory Committee) Board.
Christina Earls, Review Manager at the Department for Work and Pensions, who has extensive experience on CIPFA panels.
Andrew Burns, Director of Finance at Staffordshire County Council who is involved with the CIPFA/Society of County Treasurers financial leadership development programme and a member of CIPFA in the Midlands Region Council.
Brian Roberts, Director of Resources at Leicestershire County Council and a member of CIPFA in the Midlands Region returns to the Council.
The newly elected Council will join the recently announced President and Vice President, Jaki Meekings Davis and Chris Bilsland, who will take up their roles at the CIPFA AGM on 8 June at the CIPFA Annual Conference.
Tony Redmond has been re-elected as Hon Treasurer and Roger Latham will sit on the Council as the immediate Past President. Eight co-options are still to be confirmed taking the number of Council members to 40. The Nominations Committee will make their recommendations to Council in June.
