Manchester Council approves £330m refurb

Manchester City Council has given the green light to a plan to spend £330 million renovating Manchester Town Hall.

The news comes after a survey warned that the 140-year-old Grade I listed neo-gothic building is at risk of falling into disrepair if action is not taken.

This council has confirmed that the project will be funded by long-term borrowing.
