Fire safety compliance isn’t just a box to tick. For building owners, operators, and portfolio managers, it’s a serious legal responsibility—and a key part of keeping people safe.
A series of elections are taking place across the UK for the Scottish Parliament, National Assembly of Wales, the Northern Ireland Assembly, 124 councils across England and for the London Mayor and London Assembly.
The election day has been hailed as ‘Super Thursday’ and will see new mayors elected in London, Bristol, Liverpool and Salford, with UK parliamentary by-elections held in Ogmore and Sheffield Brightside.
Polling stations across the country opened at 07:00 BST and will remain open until 22:00 BST. The polls will be the largest test of political opinion before the next general election, which is scheduled for 2020.
In total, 2747 seats in English councils will be on offer, with the majority of seats last contested in 2012.
