The government has confirmed that they will not be extending their Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme (PSDS) grants, after five years of allocating money to public sector buildings to replace inefficient heating systems.

The government has announced £16 billion of public investment to help build 500,000 new homes.
The new National Housing Bank, a subsidiary of Homes England, will be publicly owned and backed with £16 billion of financial capacity in order to accelerate housebuilding.
It is hoped this will also leverage £53 billion of additional private investment.

Portsmouth City Council, in anticipation of Clean Air Day this Thursday, is celebrating 99 per cent of their vehicles in the Clean Air Zone meeting emissions standards by offering free bus travel across the city.
Portsmouth’s Clean Air Zone was established in 2021 and enforced limits on emissions. Since then, over 99 per cent of chargeable vehicle entering the zone now meet emissions standards, displaying a marked improvement in Portsmouth’s air quality.
