Council and NHS Trust join forces on dirty air

Hammersmith and Fulham Council has created a new alliance intended to clean dirty air and improve residents' health.
The 'Better Air, Better Health' partnership brings together health and air pollution experts from H&F Council, Imperial College London’s Environmental Research Group (ERG) and Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
The partnership aims to help cut local air pollution, reduce resident exposure and reduce the impact of associated health risks. Hammersmith and Fulham has an objective to create a cleaner and safer borough.

Labour overturn Conservative majorities in two by-elections

Labour has won by-elections in Wellingborough and Kingswood - overturning large Conservative majorities in both places.
Wellingborough was won by Gen Kitchener, who over turned a Conservative majority of 18,540 in 2019 by winning with a majority of 6,436.
Conservatives had previously held the seat since 2005. The swing was 28.5 per cent from Conservatives to Labour - the second biggest swing from Conservative to Labour at a by-election since World War Two.
