The Scottish government has launched a consultation on building flood-resilient places.
The consultation on a proposed National Flood Resilience strategy seeks views on how to build community flood resilience and engage a broader range of delivery partners to implement more diverse flood management actions more quickly.

£5.5 million of funding has been allocated for communities across Scotland to help reduce their emissions and improve resilience to climate change.
The Scottish Government funding will support a network of 20 Community Climate Action Hubs, which encourage and support climate action.
So far, the hubs have supported a range of projects bespoke to their area, including on local energy generation and flood mitigation.

New rules are under consideration which would give social housing tenants the right to request information about the management of their homes for free.
A consultation has been launched to consider the proposals.
Under the new rules, tenants experiencing damp and mould could request information on how many other homes in their building have the same problem and what action the landlord has taken to repair, giving them the tools they need to take further action if they choose.
