Scottish council calls for fracking clarity
Fife Council has called for clarity from the Scottish government over fracking, amid fears that developers mat begins o target its land.
Earlier this year the council passed a motion opposing all fracking and unconventional gas extraction in the region, with the council urging Energy Minister Paul Wheelhouse to say when Holyrood will report on its review into the processes.
A moratorium on all forms of underground gas drilling is due to be published this Autumn, with a public consultation expected to follow.

The Liverpool City Region is to benefit from improved bus services and investment in the local economy through a new agreement.
The Liverpool City Region Bus Alliance, an agreement between Arriva, Stagecoach and Merseytravel, will provide local people with improved, more efficient, joined-up and better value services.
The deal will deliver more than £25 million worth of investment in bus services in the first year of the five year partnership, benefiting existing passengers alongside a bid to attract new ones.
