Built in 1890, the Hotel went through a £26 million refurbishment and rebrand in 2023 that now celebrates the beauty of history with the style of modern furnishings. The iconic red-brick façade is infamous to the history of our surroundings and with 321 Guest rooms plays a pivotal role in the regions Hotel industry. 

DoubleTree by Hilton Brighton Metropole are committed to delivering a positive Guest experience and offer a range of on-site amenities, including a fully equipped gym, swimming pool alongside Spa facilities, and hairdressers. The on-site restaurant, The Metropole Bar and Terrace, offers outstanding food and beverage to guests and the Brighton community as well as afternoon tea, bottomless brunch, all-day dining and creative cocktails. The grand breakfast hall, the 1890 At The Met Restaurant, offers stunning sea views and extensive breakfast choices and is also available for private hire.  

From a conferencing and events perspective, the Hotel has 24 meeting spaces that can hold up to 3,000 Guests and is the largest residential conferencing and events venue on the South Coast, and the largest DoubleTree in the UK and Ireland. The 2023 refurbishment saw the introduction of brand new state of the art meeting rooms. The Renaissance Suites are six meeting rooms and a breakout area that features natural lighting, modern interiors and built in AV included, perfect for your next meeting. The interconnecting Oxford, Cambridge and Durham Suites are undeniably the selling point of our hotel as a conference venue, able to hold up to 3,000 guests when combined. The Oxford Suite itself can hold up to 1,250 delegates theatre and banquet style. The open space makes it a blank canvas for the hotels conferencing clients, and having our preferred AV and lighting supplier located on-site means no concept or idea is too big to bring to life.
