The ANT machine is aimed at operators looking to improve their efficiency, safety and emissions during yard operations to move trailers within both indoor and outdoor areas of the site.
The ANT is a fully electric towing unit designed for moving articulated trailers up to 45 tonnes in weight with up to 30 tonnes lifting capacity over the 5th wheel coupling.
Measuring 4.05 metres long by 2.5 metres wide, and with a 3.5m turning circle, the ANT is incredibly compact and enables operators to manoeuvre trailers in much smaller areas than standard trucks can achieve.
The standard unit is radio remote operated and there are options for distance and fully automated operation.
The power is supplied by a 61 kW battery driving the 50 kW continuous output powertrain. The air brake system is run off the built-in air compressor system with easy access to the couplings.
Just some of the benefits of the ANT Machine:
Sustainable
Reduces carbon footprint in operations and throughout the supply chain.
- Fully electric
- Network load distribution (no power fluctuations, partial charging during breaks)
- Noise level reduction
- Improved air quality indoors and outdoors
Safe
Driverless operation eliminates safety risks arising from people-load interactions.
- Cargo relocation with no harm to people
- No oil or engine leaks posing slip hazards
Efficient
Higher margins with lower downtime.
- Lower TCO
- No engine idling
- No drivers
- Unsurpassed manoeuvrability
- More space to store assets
