One million food boxes delivered to most at risk
Robert Jenrick has revealed that more than one million boxes of essential food have now been delivered to those at highest risk across England.
The Communities Secretary hailed the efforts of everyone involved in surpassing this milestone for the government-led programme, including national food distributors, Brakes and Bidfood, who have been delivering packages directly to clinically vulnerable people’s doorsteps.

Dedicated app launched for social care workers
A new dedicated app for the adult social care workforce in England has been launched to support staff through the coronavirus crisis.
The Care Workforce app, developed with NHSX and the NHS Business Services Authority, will be introduced under the new CARE brand and will act as a single digital hub for social care workers to access relevant updates, guidance, support and discounts from their phone.

Vital building safety work to continue
Leaders from 25 councils have pledged their commitment to ensuring vital building safety work continues during the pandemic.
Building Safety Minister Lord Greenhalgh has announced that 25 councils have joined the ranks of those pledging their commitment to ensuring vital building safety work continues, agreeing to improve the safety of residential blocks while ensuring those working on site are given clear information and support to guarantee their own safety and limit the spread of coronavirus.
So far, 26 councils and five regional mayors have signed the pledge.
