Facilities & Estates Management Live which runs on the 20th and 21st of October 2026 at the Business Design Centre, London is unique to other shows in the industry in being focused solely on Facilities and Estates Management. It is brought to you by KPM Media, the publishers of FMJ (Facilities Management Journal).
Here, the Facilities & Estates Management Live organisers will draw on over 20 years covering the FM market to bring together some of the greatest minds in FM to share their valuable insights (CPD points will be available to those who attend). Our content theatres will appeal to Facilities & Estates practitioners of all levels, and some of the leading FM service providers & product suppliers will be showcasing their offerings via exhibition stands.
To support this approach, Facilities & Estates Management Live has forged key partnerships from within the built environment, including industry associations the Institute of Workplace & Facilities Management (IWFM), the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
SEMINAR THEATRES
The show will consist of three CPD accredited speaking schedules: a series of KEYNOTE talks and panel discussions from thought leaders in FM and the built environment, case studies and workshops in the HUB theatre, and a series of INNOVATION presentations from key suppliers in the market.
The content for all the KEYNOTE and HUB sessions is based on polls FMJ has carried out among its extensive readership on the areas of greatest interest to FM and estates management professionals, many of whom asked for PANEL SESSIONS bringing thought leaders together in lively discussions.
Some of the sessions and themes across the presentations are:
Introduction An introduction and KEYNOTE presentation by CBRE.
What is the strategic role of FM? The FM sector has entered a new phase, not just focusing on managing physical assets but delivering human-centric outcomes. David Emanuel chairs a session which asks, how can this strategy be delivered?
Training and apprenticeships There is a huge demand for apprenticeships, but many employers are stymied by a lack of information. This panel discusses how to ensure that more apprenticeships are taken up which support the next generation of FMs?
Collaborative design. A panel representing architects, surveyors, engineers and FM discuss why collaboration at the earlier stages of building design helps create buildings that are easier to maintain.
Flexible solutions: There is a growing demand for workplaces to accommodate different needs, including neuro diverse spaces and end of route facilities such as showers and bike storage for active commuters.
FM and data: We’ve got AI, now what do we do with it?
It isn’t all offices: Facilities managers work within a wide range of sectors, from retail to healthcare and education. What are the priorities for FMs working within different sectors and what can they learn from each other?
Office estates outlook: According to the BCO the UK office market is increasingly defined by a deep and widening "two-tier" divide. While occupiers are willing to pay record rents for "best-in-class" space older, less efficient buildings face rising vacancies and potential obsolescence.
Professional development: Looking at how accreditation, training, and education can help your development as a leader and strategic thinker.
Other session will explore asset management, employment law, Health & Safety legislation, energy and environmental impact, societal diversity and inclusion, and mitigation of remote vs office-based working.
We look forward to updating our registered visitors as sessions and speakers are confirmed.
The INNOVATION seminar programme which runs in tandem with the KEYNOTES and HUB will concentrate on getting the best performance out of your FM service providers, consultants and products.
Sessions will include best practise, case studies, and future proofing including:
Technology, software, and AI
Performance and standards
Waste Management
Energy Solutions
Compliance
…and much more.
