WEEDit Technology – As used in the Cardiff Weed Trials 2021
Complete Weed Control has revolutionised weed control methods with the introduction of WEEDit technology, specifically tailored for use on pavements and hard surfaces. Our spot weeding technology comprises of a shrouded spraying head mounted on the carrier vehicle, incorporating sensor units and spray nozzles.
The sensor units detect the presence of weeds and triggers the appropriate spray nozzles to apply accurately, the correct amount of herbicide to the weeds. This technology results in high levels of weed control, with greatly reduced herbicide input.
WEEDit, with the unique optic sensors, launched by Complete Weed Control in 1997, has become the most environmentally efficient method of weed control, with a typical herbicide reduction of up to 80%. Many local authorities have not only been able to achieve their environmental objectives of reducing glyphosate use but have seen improvements in their overall weed control programmes.
