Caer Llan is a wedding & events venue set in the heart of Monmouthshire within the Wye Valley. Located just 4 miles from the historic Welsh town of Monmouth, the venue features excellent road links to the M4 and M5 motorways. The house itself is hidden away on a secluded hillside in 25 acres of garden, field and woodland, and is removed from all traffic noise and air pollution. In addition, the views from Caer Llan are simply mesmorizing with rolling countryside in the foreground blending into the distant Welsh Mountains some 20 miles away.
Since 1969, the house has been owned, run and lovingly maintained by the Carpenter family. Jake and his wife Vicky Carpenter head up the current generation and for the last 25 years have been running the venue as a wedding and events venue. They have spent much of their time adapting and refurbishing the property so as to provide versatile rooms and spaces for weddings, corporate events and celebrations whilst maintaining that all important feel of a home away from home. As an exclusive use venue all groups will enjoy a warm welcome and are able to enjoy the venue all to themselves and focus on the purpose of their visit without outside distraction.
Accommodation
Overnight accommodation is available on site for up to 50 guests. There are 16 large family bedrooms, all with ensuite bathrooms, and bed layouts that can be configured to your needs ahead of arrival. 7 of the rooms are ground floor and are located within the award winning Berm house, an earth sheltered zero energy building designed by Jake’s dad Peter.
The venue also has plentiful free parking, good access for wheelchair users with parking and level access to the communal areas and groundfloor bedrooms, one of which has been converted specifically for wheel chair users.
Food and Drink
Our small in house team of staff are on hand to see that your event runs just as planned. Our menus all feature wholesome and plentiful food, freshly prepared and cooked on site by our experienced chef. The licensed bar meanwhile is well stocked with pub prices and no last orders. Our service is professional but discrete and we are very proud of our 5* rating on Trip advisor.
Please get in touch if you would like more information about Caer Llan.
