Agile Solutions

Established 14 years ago, Agile Solutions is an independent UK company which provides specialist Information Management (IM) services to large and medium-sized organisations. It has offices in Glasgow, Milton Keynes and Manchester with the ACC delivery centres based in Glasgow and Milton Keynes.

We are delighted to be part of the DOS2 Framework so that we can extend our skills to the public sector. Clients in this area include Student Loans Company, Genesis Housing Association, the Environment Agency and Edinburgh Tourist Action Group.

James Bennett is the Account Manager responsible for overseeing Agile Solutions’ successful application to be part of the Digital Outcomes and Specialist (DOS) framework. We asked him why it is so important.

“Being on the DOS Framework allows us to support our public sector clients with greater ease, giving them the flexibility to choose the right resource needed for project delivery as well as embedding individuals onto pre-existing projects. The process of joining DOS was straightforward and it helped that we are also on G-Cloud 8 so we understood what would be required of us. Agile Solutions has developed a dedicated public sector team to help develop long term partnerships; being part of the DOS framework is a natural extension to help us achieve greater success. We look forward to the year ahead and hope to meet and support others within the public sector. Please get in touch with James if you have any questions or projects you think we can help you with.”

As the internet transforms the way we live, we see the public sector working hard to harness it to deliver better services and inject some fresh digital air into our day-to-day lives. Agile Solutions appreciates that to build great digital services for citizens, the public sector has to have access to the right technology and digital capability: something that you can’t expect to find in its existing workforce. However, we have seen that this isn’t stopping councils across the country exploring ways to use technology and data, to create more efficient and effective ‘smart’ cities. Having the DOS framework allows them to find out about and buy cloud-based services, physical data centre space and teams and specialists (developers, designers, etc.) who can work on digital projects for them.

We are focused entirely on rapidly improving the business performance and agility of our clients by helping them get the maximum value from all the available and relevant data within their organisation and use it in both traditional and creative ways. Typically we solve complex information problems caused by situations where fragmented and inconsistent data can impact organisational efficiency or regulatory requirements. Fundamentally an Agile Solutions’ initiative can decrease costs while also increase agility which leads to improved business performance.

We work closely with our technology supplier partners, augmenting their delivery and support capabilities and maximising the use and investment of the technologies.

Key ways in which Agile Solutions deliver added value

We recognise that in order to create the right IM solution for a specific situation, it’s critical that the underlying IM framework is architected correctly to ensure that the solution is future-proofed and can be delivered as rapidly as possible.

To do this, we have developed the Agile Information Management (AIM) framework. AIM incorporates data management techniques and technologies of Big Data while ensuring proven practice, design and architecture align and assist the agile methods used.

Once an IM solution has been successfully designed using the AIM approach, the next decision is how to deliver it. Agile Solutions has created the most effective ‘right-shoring’ model which uses agile delivery methods (where appropriate) and highly skilled vertically matched consultants.

The Agile Competency Centre (ACC) is a delivery approach which offers an alternative to offshoring IT Development. Our ACCs are based in Glasgow and Milton Keynes and offer a range of services to assist organisations in delivering specific IM programs or to provide an existing internal team with flexible additional support during a busy delivery period. These services can be provided on-site or delivered from our ACCs.

Customer Success

Our Customer Success Managers (CSMs) are subject matter experts in their respective domains. The CSM engages early in the sales cycle within a pre-sales capacity to ensure a full understanding of the customer’s data management strategy and that our solutions are positioned to meet business objectives. To provide delivery assurance, the CSM maintains oversight of engagements through to completion, working closely with the Account Managers and Project Teams to understand and mitigate delivery risks, adapt scope to address moving business priorities and to gain acceptance of deliverables.

We look forward to assisting on some interesting, innovative and rewarding projects.
